So far not so much as a peep from Panasonic yet.

Most of the rumors are because it was this time
last year that Panasonic announced the FZ38/35,
but that does not mean anything. Could be next week,
next month ... or towards the end of the year.

.
4/3 Rumors are rumouring an announcement by the end of the month. The usual health warnings apply but you can read what they have to say here. At least we won't have to wait long to see if they're right.

Bob.

I also want to buy FZ38, but the sooner the better, as i want to use it during summer.

If the new model was announced towards the end of this month, i could wait, but after the summer is too late for me.

Keep us updated please :)

I think new Panny is already on its way... its Panasonic lumix FZ100. with 24x zoom, 14 MP and CMOS sensor.

Check out the below link... looks pretty genuine to me...

The thing is, do you hold out for the FZ38 and see if it will drop below £200?

Wonder when this will be available in the shops?

I really don't know - I think I'm gonna buy it in the next few days - as if I wait to long it might be really hard to get one, as a lot of people were holding out and may now decide to stick to the tried and tested FZ38!

I've been researching cameras with good zoom for taking photos of wildlife, flowers and landscapes, and had narrowed it down to the FZ38 or the TZ10. Where I live, it's hard to get "hands on" with these cameras, but having read a lot of posts in this forum, I still believe the FZ38 is the right choice for me if i want to learn something about photography, which i do....

no full HD video ? :(
I hope no more lot focus hunting in video mode ... but sounds that will happen.
Also new LCD 3" is welcome but 230K ... old hardware for 2010.
One thing that I dont like in video mode is fake 60 fps, is time for true 60 fps !!
Cheers,
Carlos

Hi Carlos - yes i was surprised they didn't improve resolution on lcd, and i had hoped they might have added an articulated screen - I am not really concerned about video anyway - the FZ38 i think is the one for me!
