I mistakenly purchased a LUMIX DMC-FZ38 camera from Japan. The On Screen Display language is in japanese and there is no option to change the langauge.

Is it possible to change this behviour by loading an english version of the firmware

Where do I get an english version of the firmware?

Yes You can change the language in the camera
1.Turn On the camera
2.Turn the dial mode to MODE IA (the red one)
3.Press Menu/Set or the Central button of the circular buttons
4.HAve to appears a Big Menu in red and yellow
5.Press the timer button just one (is the left button of the circulars buttons have a clock for image)
6.Press the down button of the circular buttons 2 times
7.Press the button of flash (is the right button of the circular buttons and have a ray for image)
8.Press the down button of the circular buttons 3 times
9.Press the right button of the circular buttons (the ray) just one and now you have to choose the language- the second from up is english

My camera is a Japanese only model. So the language change menu is not available. That is why i am looking for firmware

same problem. he upload firmware
but don´t solved trouble.

i think better is get touch with panasonic
from its owm web
... or learn japanese
