Hello everyone, just a quick message to let you know we've just posted our Lumix FZ18 review - surely one of the best super-zooms available right now. ... _DMC_FZ18/

The video is here: ... view.shtml

Be sure to also check out the first results page - the fringing at telephoto is quite interesting...

I have just hit my eye on the review. As always, excellent review. I really like video tours. When I was buying ultrazoom camera 2 years ago Pany was very high on my list. One thing that I didn’t like was macro of 5cm, so I end up with H1 and 2cm. Now, with macro of 1cm, FZ18 looks like perfect choice. Something what, in my opinion, Pany had always better over competitors is optics. Lecia really makes it very, very good camera. I think that anybody who decides to get one will not mistake.

Nice review.
It does look quite good for a superzoom.
Noise level up to 800ISO but I think 400ISO would be the max.
I liked the ability to adjust the F/ and S/ via the 'joystick button'
I'm quite surprised how well it coped on the fringing department.

If I ever need a superzoom - this would probably be it, until something better comes along.
