Did I ever mention how much I love my LX3? I was considering buying a 10-20mm Sigma for my D300 but I'm not sure if I will bother. The LX3 is great fun to use and can produce some outstanding results. Well thats my opinion anyway. :D

No post processing. Just reduced in size. Camera in iAuto mode and lens in macro wide. Lighting is just a 12v halogen table lamp.

Original image straight out of the camera can be downloaded from here

At the time that I pressed the button - the end of the lens was resting on the end of my nose.

I have posted this here as an example to prospective LX3 purchasers.

LX3 is the best compact I've ever used.

Btw - did you know that the firmware in the camera corrects some of the lens' optical distortions? It corrects barrel/pincushion as well as CA. The supplied RAW editor will do the same with the RAW images. If you take a RAW file and process it in a 3rd party editor you can see the difference.
