Thanks Gordon.

jjr, I will run the battery down then fully charge it and over the course of the weekend I will see how many shots I can get but I guess it would be over 300.

I had some problems with close dial taking video with one hand and trying change zoom. If you change mode during video that whole video will be lost.

I still can"t get my images onto post.
Ive taken the image address with the jpg ending and ive pasted this in between the and still I just get a dead link.

And the size is within limits.

Will give it another go.

I really like the 21.4x zoom at 3MP very useful.

Is this above dead link wrong for a photo in post?

Sorry about this.

Very nice, I would like to buy the ZS3 but they are still not available here in the states. So its sit and wait.

Thanks for the info.

the quality is surprising for a camera so small.... little too good to be true.

 Post subject: Filming ability
PostPosted: Mon Apr 20, 2009 6:55 pm
Hello and thank you for your great reviews Gordon!

I have a question about the autonomy when filming with the TZ7/ZS3.

I'm especially curious about the AVCHD since it seems to be possible to film for several hours depending on the SD memory capacity. I read on the panasonic pamphlet that a 32GB SD could store about 4 hours of footage in super high quality.

I guess filming for several hours without interruption would be asking probably too much to the battery but I wonder if someone did manage to film for at least 1 hour straight ?

Thank you!

Update:
Got a email from newegg 2 hours after I ordered it to say that they did not have it. I did live chat as well as phone then to confirm that they had stock adn was told both times yes.

Just saw that www.newegg.com now has stock of the ZS3S (Silver camera) So I ordered it, hopefully it will be here by the weekend.

Now I'm trying to decide if I should bother with a extended warranty or not? I came across this company that also offers accidential damage?

Hi jsb79, I'd also like to know the answer to that - sadly I didn't have a particularly large SD card at the time of testing the TZ7, so couldn't put this to the test - but yes I suspect battery life could be a limiting factor before capacity...

Anyone with a TZ7 / ZS3 and a large card care to comment?

Ordered one up today from thenerds.net, click on the link right in the camera labs review, pretty good deal. Plus you can get another $8 or $10.00 off at checkout with a coupon code. (Just do a search for coupon code thenerds.net) I checked on reseller ratings and they seem to be legit!

Keep you posted once I get it. - Jon
