 Post subject: LX3 video problem
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:45 pm
Just purchased the LX3. I'm impressed by its image quality, but have a problem playing videos on my Windows PC. If I play them with QuickTime or RealPlayer, the colors look weird. It's hard to describe, but I would say they look desaturated or "swapped" to complementary color. On the camera's LCD, on my TV, and on my girlfriend's MacBook they look perfect, however.

Does onyone have an idea what is going on here? (I tried reinstalling QuickTime, but that didn't solve the problem.)

Thanks a lot!

Well, for those of you who are interested in this issue: It seems that some PCs are simply unable to play HD files properly, because they miss some essential hardware component. Couldn't figure out what component exactly, but I guess it's the video card. Anyway, it has nothing to do with the LX3. Fortunately...

Was planning to buy a Mac anyway... :P

Case closed.
