Thanks for the review. I was looking for more precise info on that lens. Your judgement of the value of the lens seemed a bit harsh considering the cost appears to be directly connected to the higher performance of the glass conpared to Canon's super wide zooms. In other words, I would accept the higher price tag knowing the lens is a top performer, especially in vignetting. I have an 18 for my OM-4 and it vignettes too much in regard to uncomplicated and uniform scenes.

Regardless, I look forward to more reviews. On a side note, is there a reason you don't do reviews across lens manufacturers?

Hello Rufus, welcome to the forums.

I'm glad you found the review useful. As I said in the verdict, the 7-14mm was easily one of the best quality and most enjoyable lenses I've had the pleasure of testing. It's quite pricey, but I'd say worth the investment if wide angle is your thing.

As for other lens manufacturers, we tend to review products which are under the most demand, or are particularly unique. That said, is there anyone, or any model in particular you have in mind?

We also have results for several other lenses lined-up, including the Olympus 50mm macro.

thanks for the response. I'm interested in the anticipated 28-70 (14-35 f2) that olympus claims will come out soon. I would also like to see a very fast very wide prime, something with at least f2, but I think its wishful thinking. Either way, I enjoy your site and look forward to more reviews and the like.

Rob
