I have a E500 and have been quite pleased with it's performance. After hearing that Olympus had changed sensors and added Image stabilization I'm considering upgrading to a E510. I was happy to see that it uses the same battery and the same dual media combination because I already have an extra battery and extra CF cards. I was disappointed with the E500's viewfinder frame so I invested in a ME-1 magnifier eyecup. This solved that shortcoming. Does anyone know if this will also fit the E510? Thanks.

Yes, ME-1 is compatible with both E410 and 510.
I also have a question, does this darken the viewfinder?

I will get my E510 in lees than 2 weeks, can't wait to see that

I did not notice a decrease in brightness using the ME-1 with my E500. The only reason I purchased it was that the E500 viewfinder frame was noticeably smaller than the competing dSLR's that I looked at. This was listed as a con in the reviews at the time. If this is a concern then I would recommend the modest increase afforded by the magnifier. In the past I used a 35 mm Nikkomat with a f1.4 lens. That viewfinder looked like a picture window, but that was the past. I'm pleased with the E500 and I'm saving up for it's successor. Thanks for your reply

I should have bought one for my E300 :( It has a darker VF so working with manual focus with my ZD50mm is not fun so if I had magnifier this would be very helpful.
