Hi, I have an Olympus Mju 300 which has proved to be a cracking camera for one month past its warranty expiry. Now, when I slide the front cover open to use the camera, the lens remains retracted in the body and there is no screen display. After 7-8 seconds, the camera beeps 20 times with the orange and green LEDs beside the viewfinder flashing aswell. Has anybody come across this before and if so is there a fix - its a very expensive paperweight at the moment

Hello Jon, and welcome to the CameraLabs forum!

Can you find a "reset" button in your manual? Try this.
Can you find out whether the battery is fully charged?

Hi Tombomba2, No reset button and the camera is fully charged. I've been scouting around and apparently others have had the same problem with the usual, cost more to fix than buy a new Olympus scenario, which I'll have to do if I still want to use the card I purchased as an extra for it. Thanks for your help, Jon

If there's not reset button, you could take the battery out and wait a couple of days...
