That confirms what I've been reading on the net - the two stabilization systems must be aware of one another and coordinate their actions to provide more stops than each system alone... otherwise they may (partially) cancel each other's actions...
That's why that rumour about a new Nikon VR III + OBS (on board stabilization?) that could _supposedly_ provide together 5.5 stops advantage inflamed the spirits on another forum, not so long ago
