I have my Olympus E520 for sale and someone asked me what was the shutter accuations number on the camera....this was the first I had heard about this so I did some research...turns out your camera has a life span and you can actually find out how many times the shutter has been released. I found out that most have 100,000 some have only 50,000 and pro cameras 3-400,000. Just like anything else if you take care of it then it could make a different with that number....I just found it find out the shutter accuations for your camera you can just google the name of your camera and you will get step by step directions. My E520 has 16,444 so it has a long life ahead of's been lightly used.
Just wanted to share this.
