In the DPR review it states that the DR on the e620 and the e520 is almost identical at iso 100 (and on the comparison page it states you cant even tell the images apart), and that iso 200 and up are merely underexposed with a different tone curve applied to preserve highlights. This implies that if we deliberately underexpose our iso 200 and up images with the e420 and e520 and apply a custom curve that mimics the e620 curve, we should be able to get a similar kind of highlight headroom. Ive created this new thread so that people with both the e420 or e520 and the e30 or the e620 can test this theory out with pictures.
