Camera Labs

So i finally picked up my first ever DSLR and can i say what a horrible day to do so lol it was raining and cloudy and so miserable, the only shots that i could take were inside the house.
But luckily the next day had some sunshine so i took some quick picks down at sydneys cronulla beach, it was a windy day very unusual for that area and the kit surfers were out so i thought id give the zoom lens a go.
boy was i surprised at the quality of the shots and this was zoomed out all the way and wind blowing the lens side to side.

Let me know what you guys think any advice or critisizem is welcome ?
p.s loving the oly so nice to handle feels like the fujica just lighter.
