Hey guys, there is a new firmware update for four Zuiko Digital lenses. These are the 18-180mm, 70-300mm, 90-250mm and the 8mm fisheye lens. These firmware update improves the performance of these lenses in C-AF mode with the E-3 and the E-30.

This is my first post by the way. So I'm a newbie here. :)

That's a quality first post. :)

To bad I haven't got the 90-250!

(Must say I have a little trouble seeing why you'd use c-af with the 8mm..)

Welcome to the Camera Labs forum! And thanks for the info.

I had no idea we could use the contrast detect AF on the 70-300. I take it that it would also work on the E420/520/620. But performance improvement only on the E3/30? That's a bummer for x20 owners.

Hello logbi77, Thank you for the information.

I have 70-300mm lens. It's auto focus was slow.

Do not connect new update firmware during bad storm weather.
