am i the only one who feels that micro four thirds should be much more affordable? the new gh1 is about to retail for $1499.95.

i remember in an interview they were saying micro 4/3 would be great for somebody who wanted to move up from a point & shoot but wasn't ready yet for an slr. at this pricing, they could just get an slr.

You're kidding! 1500 for a G1 with video?

Its probably a lot to do with the 14-150 lens. Panasonic needs to learn to stop killing its own products by bundling it with stupidly expensive glass. Look at that happened to the DMC-L1

Yeah, it's the lens. Also, the video on it supposedly is near professional quality allowing for AF while zooming in and out. Still ... $1500 ... wow.
