You know ... some of the "extra" noise that I was seeing may have been because the colors of my LCD monitor at home was oversaturated. I am looking at the images in my work monitor, and they don't look nearly as noisy!

Eh ... actually ... I may! LOL!

But I saw a Panasonic G1 for the first time yesterday at a local computer store, and I am SUPER impressed. AF was very fast for a constract based AF camera. Dare I say it was faster than my E-410/510.

And the EVF is amazing. The image on the EVF is bright and HUGE compared to 4/3 viewfinders (except E-3). Loved how the center of the image on the EVF automatically gets magnified (10x) when the user turns the manual focus ring with the G1 set on manual focus. Makes manual focus SUPER easy! Too bad the G1 doesn't have in-body IS.

wait for the olympus variant that will be out by the end of the year. It will have IS.

actually there will be two Olymups variants, one small one and one larger SLR type [similar to G1]

The Olympus website suggests it is coming this summer.

I know there will be 2, one coming soon, and one a bit later. I dont know if the small one [similar size to the mockup but different visually] or the larger will be out first. My guess is the smaller one would come first since thats an untapped market and the response to the mock up was so overwhelmingly positive.
