I just noticed that the price of the E30 went down from 1049 euro to 969 euro. The E620 went down from 699 euro to 669 euro and it's not even in stock yet.
The E3 has become more expensive though and on top of that, the cash back action has ended. This means a raise of almost 300 euro.....

Prices in Europe have been too high if you compare it with the US or Canada. I think Olympus has been rearranging the prices, so at least they seem logical now if you compare cameras from Olympus.

Looks like price of the E-30 went down from $1299 to $1049, body only, at Adorama. Still a better deal to order from Canadian stores (if you are in US), which is pricing the E-30 at CD$ 1049. With the exchange rate, folks here in the US get about a 18% price break.

Here in the UK the E-30 has gone down to £849 from £899 and the E-620 down from £599 to £589 (both body only btw)

I think a good price point for the E-620 would be about $500. For the E-30 is $700. I just don't see that happening anytime soon in the US. Definitely not for the E-620, given that (as far as I know) we can't even get it in the US yet. I ordered an E-620 from a Canadian store, but ended up cancelling the order, because of additional "brokerage" and handling fees that supposedly I would have been charged once the camera crossed the border (in addition to what I had been charged by the retailer for the camera and shipping).

We have the same issues coming from the US to Canada. In the end, unless the dollar is at par, and you are on a trip long enough for a purchase to fall within your importing limits, it isn't worthwhile buying a camera in the US and having it shipped to Canada (or vise-versa, apparently).

:) Thank you for the update.

All some camera stores do not have new Olympus E-620 in Michigan.

I do not want shopping online.

I want E-620 because it was better than E-520

I suppose that's without VAT?
So 950 x 1.11 = 1055 including VAT = 795 Euro.
Still cheaper then over here (starting at 860 Euro)

Hey Hans! Not sure what VAT is. Is that customs and shipping?

With Adorama, the shipping is free within the US. Not sure what the charges are to ship to the Netherlands.
