only used my flash on one of them as an experiment. i work @ a multimedia non-profit that teaches high school students audio/video technology (i work on the audio side).

the students of the video side are beginning to learn how to work as a lighting team.


aside from that, the lighting is bad on ALL of them? composition? general quality of the image? all bad to you?

in my opinion the lighting is not bad, i can see the style you've try to develop.

what i don't like is the image is too sharp (maybe it is macro, maybe you oversharpen it) and also I think you should be more careful not to overexpose the highlight.

I am no expert in lighting and portrait stuff, so i might be wrong.

I think I should wait until my bailout check comes in the mail! I'm kind of considering the Sigma 105 now ... maybe a little more length will be good. And it has an AF limiter, which the 50 doesn't. But 50 is faster and sharper ... hmmm ...

yes, it is true too much flesh, you can use it not directly in the face, but Bounce on wall to face. or move the flesh from the camera and use wireless
