Apparently Olympus will be announcing details of the successor to the E1 on October 17th. 8)

There is speculation that it may not, after all, be called the E3.

Well that's the least of my worries... the name... I never understood the E-3, didn't the E-2 make it in the process?? Or did I miss something...

What everybody want's to know... what specs, features does it have. What sensor? build-in IS? what kit lens (12-60mm...?), what about the speed, IQ....

We'll a few more weeks, but luckly I'm on holiday from Oct. 11th, making some nice (hopfully) pics of Egypt with my (still to buy) E-510 (the E-1 successor is out of my league) so all I have to do is read up, when I get back Oct 29th... (so Gordon, get your hand on a PR sample by that time  if availible)

We will of course bring you a review of one as soon as we get hold of it!

They've got some tough competition now though in the form of the Nikon D300...
