As a Canon owner I'm not sure I should be posting on a Nikon forum but here goes...

Nikon USA have released a couple of "educational" DVDs. If you click the Nikon School Educational DVDs button on http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php?cat=1 you should get a new browser window with links too trailers for the Fast, Fun & Easy and Understanding Digital Photography DVDs. Sorry, but I have no idea whether these are available in other countries.

Hi Bob.

Thanks for providing that link. I downloaded the second video and think it's excellent. I thought I knew a fair bit but it's laid out in a very easy to follow way. Only lasts for 47 minutes but it's valuable knowledge. It of course helps if you have a Nikon but even if you don't it's a good guide to photography in general.

Oh, and you know how you said you're not sure if it's available in other countries, well, this is the Interweb. Everything's available. Everywhere.

I'd highly recommend this DVD to anyone. Beginner or keen amateur alike.

Thanks for pointing out that the videos are downloadable rather than physical disks. I guess the price covers production costs but I'd rather put that money towards a good book!

It's surprising in a way that they haven't loaded the production costs into the advertising budget and made the videos free downloads. Nothing like a spot of goodwill to encourage sales.

Anyway, I'm glad I shared the fact that the videos are available even though I was, when I found the reference to them, looking for breaking news from Canon.
