Good morning everybody
I have a problem with my 85mm 1.4G after shooting a few pics with my kids last night. I hope, you all might have some experiences to advise me please.

last night, I just shot a few pic with my kids, at the sudden my 85mm went dark on the viewer, dark till i can't shoot in M/A Mode. I am not sure if I set anything wrong but i did try to put my 24-70mm or 50mm on it was fine.

Your helps will greatly appreciated

** Note: I am using Nikon D3X and I am new to Nikon

If the problem occurs with only one lens but not with others it stands to reason that the lens is defect.
And the reason why the viewfinder is dark might be that the aperture of the lens is closed even before you shoot. You should identify this problem by simply looking into the lens: Is the aperture closed (or not fully open) when the 85/1.4G is mounted on your camera - even when the camera is off? Then you have identified the problem, which then lies with the lens.
