Higuys

Im hoping you can help me.im looking at buying my first dslr camera, to date the d3200 is top of my list, but i am unsure as to weather im being missled buy price, pixels, and other reviews and comments.

What im looking for from the camera:

High quality images, good enough to put on canvas of a good size, as i have children my partner and i enjoy have photos of.

Shutter speeds, i need to be quick as my kid dont stay still for long, but i believe the lenses make a difference ?

Price, im looking at about £450 ish or less

Video, may use it ocassionlly but not what i call important, i belive thats what video cameras are for i think ?

Hope you can help me, any advice you can give me will would be a big help.

Thanks

Any Nikon camera will do what you want. They're all good.

You're right about the lens, but what you will need to do is to decide what is right for you. For example, do you want a wideangle or will you be doing portraits of your children more?

The 35DX f1.8 has a "normal" perspective, is sharp and would do well for portraits (shallow depth of field, good in low light), but the single focal length is all you get. Still, I really like mine.

Best thing is to try some out to see what fits your style of photography.
