I was in Paxtons, George street, Sydney a couple of Sundays ago, and on sale was a D3000. Turns out Nikon found a stash of these somewhere, and now some Nikon dealers have them in the shops again. New, with warranty, not sure what price though and if you go on to the Paxtons website, it doesn't list the camera, or give any details.

With a body that old, the prices should be rock bottom. I've seen them go as low as $200 body only on eBay, so Nikon should keep the prices pretty competitive.

I'd have no use for one, but I could see somebody who wants to get into photography without spending a fortune, or somebody needing a cheap backup body.

I am due back at Paxtons, must take a peep at the price, would'nt be surprised if if was more than $250.00.

Paxtons told me this morning that no D3000`s left in stock, they were selling $50 less than the D3100 @ $500. But yes, D3000`s out of stock for them now.
