Just seen this on another forum, thought it would be of interest to Nikon owners here and relates to the following:
Quote:
This is an important announcement regarding the EN-EL15 battery which is used in the Nikon D7000, D800, D800E and Nikon 1 V1 cameras.

My D7000, purchased late 2010, is fine. It's marked with a "B", so I'm assuming that most 2010 and early to mid 2011 models are fine.

To identify the faulty batteries: "If the 9th digit of the EN-EL15 battery lot number is E or F then the battery needs to be replaced as it may be affected by this issue."
