 Post subject: D3100 settings
PostPosted: Wed May 25, 2011 11:08 pm
Well I've got my D3100 and have been taking lots of shots in different settings to compare effects such as WB, A size S speed etc. When I upload my photos onto my computer it only shows A, S and ISO used. After some searching I have found the screen on my camera which shows zoom length, WB etc. Can I get these details onto the computer as well? If so I need some help in how to do this. It would certainly make comparisons easier.

Have you loaded your Nikon software that came with the camera on your computer? It will show you a large amount of detail, including focus point etc.

Don't worry, the data it's there. It's called EXIF data and it is embedded into every picture you take.

You can use something like Nikon's ViewNX (comes with your camera), to make simple edits to your photo, and read back the information.
