I just bought a refurbed d7100, upgrading from d90. I usually use opanda for exif data. I can only see limited data with the d7100. I was mainly concerned about the shutter releases which doesn't show. Ultimately, after several failed attempts at websites, I finally found one that would show the shutter releases. Does anybody have any other easy methods or software to find this info since opanda isn't showing it? Also was wondering if anybody else that has the D7100 has noticed that the ok button seems sloppy or loose, I can't really tell that I'm pushing the button, it's that loose.

Hi Jeff,

Thought I would check my shutter count on the D7000 after reading your post, like you I just got the short version with Opanda 2.3 and no shutter count. The shots I tried were all resized in Elements 11. The original shot showed the complete Exif with the shutter count, I did a crop on the original and it produced a short Exif version.

Looks like Elements strip some Exif’s when processed for me. Try the Exif on the original version with no processing. Sorry can’t help with the ok button.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply, I had a D7000 for a short time and I was able to view the full exif with it on opanda 2.3 as well as my D90, but I can't with the D7100 even with an original file. It's much easier using opanda than uploading it to a website, I did figure out how to check it in Photoshop.

I find the detail with View NX2 excellent. Though I use other software (usually) to process, I do a lot of exif (and other) checking in the Nikon software.
