Hi ,

I have a Nikon D5000 which I am very happy with. I normally use the AF-S Nikkor 18-55 lense but on occassion use my AF-S Nikkor 55-200 lense. This combo has been all I needed until today. My son had his 1st Lacrosse game and I just couldn't get the close shots I wanted with the later lens.
I am, for now, just a point and shoot girl and get creative only with setting etc. So I don't understand the technical terms. Please advise which lens would be best to get great shots during a very fast paced Lacrosse game.
Oh, a lens with more length would be great for surfing shots as well.

Thanks so much.

The 55-300 is practically the 55-200 with a longer tele end. If you want to spend a little extra to have a in my opinion better lens, go for the 70-300VR

Thank you. What can I expect to spend on the 70-300?
