Hi folks,

PMA is still a month away and Nikon have already started rolling out new cameras. The rumour mill still grinds along on a possible D700x/D800 announcement but in the meantime here's some real hardware:

Note: The P90 is the subject of a separate thread so please continue any discussion about that model in the thread Nikon Coolpix P90 - 24x super-zoom
P90 - from the press release: The P90 offers new features that include a 24x Optical Zoom, a new 3.0-inch vari-angle LCD monitor with tilt function and anti-reflection coating; and 15 frame-per-second (fps)* high-speed capability (up to 45 frames).
    Image Image

L100 - from the press release: Optimized for action shots, high-powered zoom and simple operation, the L100 is equipped and ready to help capture every precious moment with quality and clarity that will make lasting memories an even greater joy.
    Image Image

    And then we have the S630, S620, S230, S220, L20 and L19 compacts:

    ...S230 press release.........................................................................S220 press release

Most models come with a choice of colours - guess which one doesn't! :) For a quick overview of the eight COOLPIX cameras announced check out this press release.

Bob.

Hmm, better ask Nikon. I'm certainly not going to go chasing after them if the links get changed after six weeks. :P

Hi Phil,

May I offer you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forum.

Your post has prompted me to edit my initial offering to restore the picture links. Let's hope that Nikon doesn't change them again.

Bob.

Hi Joe,

May I wish you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forum.

The only official reviews done here on CameraLabs are by Gordon himself, but amongst the moderators I think we can fairly class Thomas as the exception as he has done a number of lens reviews as well as at least one book review.

Bottom line is that I'm not aware of any such comparison but that's the joy of forum life as asking the question on the forum might get the answers you want. You can also try the forum Search utility.

Bob.

I hate to say this, but the L100 and P90 are not exactly a thing of beauty!
