a used camera store near me is selling a zenitar fisheye with a nikon mount for $150. i am not a huge fan of fisheyes. i think they work better for video cameras, but it might be kinda cool to mess around with. this fisheye is 16mm and meant for full frame cameras. my nikon has a cropped sensor so im thinking the fisheye effect will be completely unseen, is this true? thanks

The effect will be less visible indeed. And I am not sure, but if its a used lens, if it isnt still a little overpriced :?:

Wrong: Even with a 16mm fisheye on a DX-body you will clearly see field-curvature.
But naturally it is less prominent than from a 10.5mm (or 8mm) fisheye.
