Hi, Im just buy a new Nikon D90 and I've wonder how to do maintenance job for this camera? especially the Dust-reduction system Image Sensor Cleaning, Image Dust Off reference data (optional Capture NX 2 required) . When I need to use this function? isn't it when I install my lens everytime I remove my lens after I stop taking photo. So, this function must On everytime I install my lens to my camera? Your help is very appreciate.. thanks!

I just have my camera set to "clean image sensor" when the camera is turned on and when it is turned off. I havnet had any dust problems on the sensor yet. Sometimes i have to clean my mirror with a special brush.

So, it's not neccesary to clean everytime we take out the lens right?

My D90 is set to clean automatically whenever the camera is turned on and off, and that ought to be enough to prevent dust from becoming a problem. Try not to open the camera body for too long, and always keep the lens mount down or to the side when you change lenses. You don't want something to fall out of the sky onto your mirror.

Oh no its not. Just make sure you change your lenses FAST but carefully to prevent dust to get in. And the mirror will get more dust on it than the sensor will IF you use the Dust Reduction system.
