Hi again...I'll make this one short, brief, and concise.

1. What's a decent UV lens protector should I get for my 18-200 VR lens? size, brand, price range?

2. Should I also get a 50 mm f 1.8 lens? if yes... what kind of UV should I get?

3. What website can I visit that tells me how to take great photos...as if it's almost like you're in a class and it tells you step by step but it's free.

One more thing...where can I order these gadgets? (reputable website) please help... have to have the 50 mm before halloween.

I've also noticed that you have the 50 mm.

I'm a newbie... i really know "nothing about dslrs" but I'm sure I can learn and be great at it. I just have to know where to start and what gadgets I need to be getting.

I know this is the Nikon forum but I think its still relevent.

There is like a 16 part guide on how to use the Canon EOS 350D, although a lot is done with the 350D in mind, there are still some parts which are relevent - but the audio goes a little out of sync!

Hoya or Jessops UV filters should do, and it depends on the thread size at the end of your lens, e.g. 52mm, 58mm, 72mm etc.

I to am planning to get a 50mm F/1.8 lens, depending on the thread size, I think 58mm, then a 58mm Hoya or Jessops UV will do just fine.

UV filters as far as I know as simply used to protect the front element of the lens from getting dusty, scratched etc. when in use.
