Is this a known fault or is mine faulty?

+-
I have a genuine D80 battery. When it has been used for a little while, I have had problems with the shutter locking up - on closer inspection it is giving a battery low signal which seems to lock the camera (is THAT correct for a start?). But the battery should not be low and in fact, switching off an on again the level goes back to full and off I go without further problems for a while.

Its in normal ambient temps.

It's never happened to me (touch wood) but it is a known problem.

Thanks - I had a feeling I had read about it somewhere before - just my luck to get the Friday camera!

Just read the link - yep, that's exactly what happens to mine.
