so now that i have bought me a dslr i am looking for a proper flash nit for it, and i was wondering about metz and sunpak flashes.

i am a bit low on cash atm so i am looking at sunpak pz42x and metz mecablitz 44 af-1.

i was wondering if someone can tell me if these flashes are good and how well can thy serve in general and macro photography.

also i am wondering if i can trigger them via d90 built in flash unit?

thanks for responses..

hi bakica,

I ordered a Metz 50af-1 for Canon from ebay for 240$. This was the best bang for te buck flash. I'm still waiting for it to arrive, I know I'll love it :) In meantime I also ordered an Yongnuo 462 flash for 35 $ from ebay. It has a tilt and swivel head, and nothing else, just a potentiometer for adjusting the flash output. It's great for indoor photography if you want a cheap flash.
