I am looking to get a backdrop thats not a bed sheet. I was wondering why muslin was like the number one choice because when i went to the fabric store and looked at the cloth, it is not a very thick cloth, i was showed some polyester cloth also that looked thicker and basically wrinkle free.

I was just wondering what other people had and how much they paid/where they got it. im looking to spend about $70ish max for 10ft x 12ft+ and pure white.

Can I ask what paper drops are like?

Are they mounted onto something sturdy, can they rip?

Usually you use something Like this....

Yes, paper rips but the point is for it to be disposable. No need to wash it or worry about wrinkles. Its actually pretty strong stuff, similar to construction paper.

When you buy paper it usually comes in large lengths so if it does rip or get dirty you can just roll out some more, and you can use it more than once if it doesn't get dirty or wrinkled.
