So I am almost ready to move into some flash photography experiments. I bought Sly Areans Speed Lighters book....and left it at home But I have the gist of what I want to do and a few willing subjects to put up with me. I have 2 430EX II flashes and a limited budget. I would love to add a 530EX into the mix and to trigger my remotes, just not gonna happen. I would love to go Radio poppers but again cost and sometimes on military bases certain RF freqs are blocked which leaves me with cable sync. I believe what I am looking for is a sync bus? The attachment that goes on my hotshoe to plug the cables into. The only one I've seen so far (limited internet speed) has a 1/8-in plug and a PC plug. Do they make them with 2 1/8-in plug (or 3.5mm is another term for it) What little I did read says that using a cable with 1/8-in is cheaper than on with PC Plugs. But I never see a way to do 2 flashes.

I will admit, I could search a little harder on the net but this limited speed is killing me so I thought I would ask you all to save a little headache. Thanks a bunch!!

While I don't think I can help you directly, I can definitely recommend a visit and search through the original source of small-flash info... www.strobist.com

Since you have two flashes, and the ability to sync to one of them via cable, you should be able to optically slave the non-corded flash so that when the sync'd one fires it'll set the other off. Of course, this is tricky in daylight or if you don't have line of sight between the two flashes, but it's a stopgap if you can't find the appropriate hardware.
