So, you get free use of an H3DII-39 until October provided you are prepared to pay the list price of the new H3DII-50 and you get to have an extra lens for only $2500. Unmissable!

Seriously, I guess if you need this sort of kit then it's a good deal. For some, having 50MP spread out over a 36×48mm sensor must be Christmas come early.

"300MB files" . Not only would you need to invest in camera and lenses, but memory too!

A nice rebate though, especially for those who need a camera like this for their job. Some of those lenses are crazy expensive and being able to get them for 'only' $2500,- is a great deal.

What is the list price of the new one? The previous one was about $40,000 or so. Is it in the range of $1000 a megapixel?
