Hi folks,
From Canon's
Future Photographer Cashback page you:
must purchase your EOS 7D or 5D Mark II from an EOS Professional network store,
which is uniquely placed to showcase the complete Canon digital workflow solution.
.
.
This offer is only open to students on a recognised university photographic course,
students that have been accepted onto a recognised university photographic course
or a lecturer/technician working on a recognised university photographic course.
Full terms and conditions are
here (PDF file) but it seems the offer runs between Saturday 1st May 2010 and Tuesday 31st August 2010 inclusive and participants must be resident in the UK or ROI.
I guess how generous this cashback offer is depends very much on what price you can find at a participating store. Hopefully it will save someone some money but, in my personal opinion, it's been a long time since Canon UK offered any sort of promotion which might be considered generous. From the
Wall Street Journal:
For the full year through December, Canon now expects an 82% rise in net profit to Y240 billion, better than the Y200 billion it forecast in January.
It also raised its operating profit outlook to Y360 billion from Y330 billion, and its revenue forecast to Y3.750 trillion from Y3.450 trillion.
but there's no sign of giving much back to their loyal customers, here in Europe at any rate.
Bob.
