here is a shot of steam venting to the atmosphere at my work.

i didnt have a tripod so i set up the camera on the roof of my car with a blanket supporting the lens.

Exposure: 4 sec (4)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 38 mm
ISO Speed: 100

The first one is pretty awesome, but I like how the steam changed color with the light on the second.

Ohh nice supervaillain!

The very "organic" shape of the steam, the very lack of contrast and sharpness in it is a great counter to the harsh metallic and very sharp edges of the industrial buildings.

You definitely got something there.

thanks everyone! i wish i had had more time to compose the shot and have the proper equipment, but i snuck away during a break to take the shot, so i didnt have a lot of time

i am glad you enjoyed it though, maybe it worth it do do a reshoot with a tripod some day soon!
