Out tonight taking some photos (and one for my blog!) and I captured this sculpture/piece of art/installation/call it what you want. It was a essentially a guy built from different letters. I spent about 1/2 hour capturing different elements of the sculpture, trying to find words. I thought it was great. I liked this angle, and caught it with my 60mm macro lens. I have a new love for this lens! I think I'll be using it all this week.

I like it!

Slightly off topic but are the alphabets supposed to spell something or are they just randomly positioned?

I'm not sure. They looked pretty random to me.I couldn't see any pattern and there wasn't really any words spelled out either.

I'm trying to find out! I should have taken note when I was down there. I might go down again tonight and take some more shots of it and get the name of it, it was absolutely brilliant.

Nice one Welly. Very crisp and clear. I like the highlights over the bokeh.

I like it too! Seems well balanced with colour and exposure and a nice angle as well. Very unique subject too :) Nice one.

A wonderful piece of sculpture, much as though I really like your capture, it has left me curious as to what the whole sculpture looks like, did you by any chance take a full shot?

Cheers Ormina

I love the picture and the sculpture :)

having a word focused (one that makes sense ;) ) and the rest blurred out would be a killer...
