Those shots aren't here, yet? OK, they probably got somewhere into the "Shot of the day" thread but here I'll just put them all together into one thread.

Well - it was not too long after I got the 5D3 when I took those pictures and here they are:

After midnight they switch off the lighting of the caste and then you stand in absolute darkness. But well - hey, there's the camera and using higher ISOs it can still get great results when using a shutter speed of 30 seconds:

The old bridge:

The powder turret of the castle in Heidelberg was split by an explosion in May 1693 by warriors from France - and several hundred years later the outer wall still lies where it fell that time.

This shot is a bit older - I tried to do an HDR:

ISO 100

And that's one of the shots I took in order to get the HDR:

I wonder when they'll take off the scaffolding.

Interesting set, one of the beauties of Europe is there are some many historic churches, cathedrals and castles with beautiful architecture and art inside.

Cheers

Great set, hate that I didn't tour more of Germany when I was there. Made a lot of mistakes in my youth :) and waisted my 3-years there. Hope to get back one day.

Great shots Jiko, stunning place!

@Mike: That's how life works, looking back one would always do things different, mostly because priorities have shifted in the time passed :D

Nice work, Jiko! I have to say I really like the lighting in these photos.

Great shots, the bridge is the one I liked the most though the castle in the last shot is really nice as well, good job :)
