Last month I've been to Luebeck in northern Germany and there are some impressive churches. The most impressive one is St. Mary's I think. And again I really enjoyed the most extreme wide angle lens there is at the moment ;)

Some metal parts... I guess there are there in order to hold that church as it was destroyed in WW2 - same church in 1944: http://www.ndr.de/geschichte/chronologi ... 1_p-6.html
And there were no such "metal strings".
