This is a sculpture 4-5mts tall, made from galvanised scaffold poles. It makes eerie penetrating choral sounds, covering a range of several octaves, when the westerly wind blows.

When I first saw the title "The singing Ringing Tree" I had flashes back to my childhood, watching scary dubbed East European children's programmes!

Anyway, it's an interesting picture and I like it.

Out of interest, where is it located?

I actually wondered if anyone on here knew the story of the Prince looking for that tree. I guess it's an age thing

Thanks AD. It's on the moors above Burnley Lancs. (twas bl00dy cold up there on Sat morn too!)

Looks amazing, great job :D
By the way, if it doesn't bother you, could you tell the story about the prince or give a link to where it might be located? It sounds interesting :)

Nice picture, Carlos; and thanks for the link. I was out today looking for Double Trouble, and I can identify with the cold! I don't think it got above freezing today and with the wind coming from the Northwest off the water, it was "bloody cold" here too! :)

Is there is an ongoing thread for pictures of trees? I bet we'd get some fascinating pictures of trees from around the world...

Thanks Xman.
At least the northerly winds usually tend to clear the air & give better light, but it aint fun sometimes.

(where abouts are you btw?)

Don't think there is a `Tree` thread tbh. You can always start one.
