Hello everyone!

I thought i'd share three pictures with you, all of which were taken during my last vacation in Hamburg. I'll gladly take any advice you have, since I'm still regarding myself as a beginner

Perhaps some of you can come up with some tips regarding Nr.1. I feel that the harsh sunlight somehow makes it all look rather dull. I was trying to catch the difference of color between the bricks and the glass, but neither of the two really stick out.

Concerning Nr.2 , I was wondering wether this type of lighting would be likely to produce an interesting Picture if it was captured using HDR? So that the colors of the sunset would not be burnt out, but the ships would also still have their texture?

In the first one, a bit more contrast might help. In the second one, HDR can produce great results (if it's not overdone).

I like the third one a lot, great choice of B&W in that one!

As someone who's been to Hamburg on muliple occasions shot no3 is doing it for me.
