Hi Guys,

Thank you for the feedback, not long after taking the photos it started raining. This was taken from Lunar Park Jetty thankfully it was a quite night and not a lot of people around.

Vissie,

I am just about to buy my first slr canon camera with the 15-85mm IS USM lens. I want to photo buildings etc at night and I'm an absolute total novice.

I was wondering if you could please explain how u took these photos eg, lens and settings etc.

It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

As said by those before, a really good set, with No.1 the best for me.

Hi,

Thank you for your comment, it is really appreciated!! I’m sorry to say but I’m still a novice myself, wish I could get out more and take some more photos, as I’m sure we all do but stuck behind an office desk unfortunately.

I took the photos with a Nikon 18-200mm lens with A at about 11, and 30seconds. Things I have learned by taking photos at night that helps a lot is ensure your VR is switched off, as this can also make the photo blurry, Always use a tripod and a remote trigger as this also prevents camera shake.
Don’t rush it  probably took about 100 photos that night and only 4 I would say is worth it.

I wish I could give you more advice, I spend a lot of time on YouTube looking at Photography tutorials and also ask a few questions in the camera lab forum, you get some really good feedback from the guys.

Please let me know how you go, sorry I could not be of any further assistance.

Cheers
Eugene
