Someone saw it on my FB page and messaged me for a print. Another person at work overheard me telling the story, and they wanted a copy as well. Having said all that, it's not one of my most favorite photos I've done, but that doesn't really matter I guess.

The size of both prints is 36 x 11.75 inches. Before I tell you how much I charged for it, I'd like to know how much you guys would have asked. I found a high res photo printing place who did the job for $20.00.

Hi Trevor, congrats on people wanting to buy the shot, guess it's a matter of personal preferences. For me there is a tug of war between the building and the bright lights as to what is the focus point. I covered the right hand side just past half way and found the shot more appealing as the building now becomes the focus point. Some will love it some will not, as Timothy Allen said.

“Individually you can pick holes in any photo you take, that’s the nature of photographers”: Timothy Allen

The main point is you like it. :D

Cheers

Well thanks for the critique, but as I said, it's not really my favourite either. I was more so asking how much you would have charged for the photo.

When you calculate costs there are two sides of the argument, what it cost you to create it and what someone is willing to pay for it.

If someone can go to a discount store or Swedish furniture retailer and buy a similar item for a certain price they will compare what you charge to that. If it is sold framed in a gallery and there are a limited number of prints available then the cost might go up.

If it cost me $20 to print I would be looking to get a minimum $40 for a print.
