Very interesting shots, I especially like 4. and 8.
The third one is almost too simetric, very nicely done.

I'm new to photography, I assume you had very high shutter speeds in these shots, as it was pretty bright and you used low f-numbers, is that correct?

Thanks khalismur - I've found like in this section of the forum!

I was trying out a new lens, and trying out for sharpness and quality of background blur, so I was shooting close to wide open (low f-numbers).

As it was very bright this required a Neutral Density filter to let less light in as otherwise 1/8000th second would not have been quick enough to expose the images properly.

I see, you used a ND filter (now I know what you meant, hehehe).

Dubai is charming, I've seen other pics from you too in the past. Hope to go visit the country soon. Will surely buy a ND filter by then :P

ND isn't really required, just if you're using a shallow depth of field - f4 or greater means I can get away without one generally. Give me Switzerland and proper scenery over Dubai anytime!!!
