Well this was our third trip to Venice, and my first with a DSLR. It also coincided with our first visit to Venice with a baby in tow! It's an amazing place to revisit, but not the most baby stroller friendly place on earth!

So juggling a baby and stroller, a pregnant wife and trying to get a few shots off during a day trip in very cold and unseasonal weather with horrible light proved a little challenging!

Still, you've got to work with what you've got! Here are the first few images from my trip - no chance to invest much time in photography while we were there so they're all pretty much grab shots. I'll add a few more to these initial dozen or so once I get the chance to process.... 200 more to filter through and process

So much interesting architecture in Venice, I also need to go back. It’s an interesting set and they show the beauty of the place. I've always thought the local council would give the vaporetto fleet a coat of paint. For grab shots as you described they came out pretty good and of course I like the coloured shots.

Cheers

#9 floats my boat. Pun intended.

Also, I'm reminded of the Indiana Jones Last Crusade scene, "Go between them?!?! Are you crazy?!?!"
