Hi MartinB,

and a belted but no less well-meant welcome to the forum!

Interesting set of night-shots. I am with Rui on this one and feel that the first and last are the best ones of the pack.

Composition wise, these shots lean towards a symmetric filling of the frame. The point of interest/area of focus for the viewer is centered around the middle. And so are the horizons. THis can lead to a less dynamic visual impact than if you tried to push your point of interest further out towards the edge.

I really like the church, but I think the branch is a little distracting.

Thanks for sharing - I hope you will put up some more night-shots of Montreal. Very enjoyable viewing.

Thanks for the comments evryone, agree with you LahLahSr the tree trunk is a little bit in the way, im just starting in photography got my cam 3 weeks ago still learning :)
