 Post subject: some NYC shots

Just walking around the neighborhoods with my family. These are shot with the 18-135mm kit lens that came with the Nikon D80. Both are shot on the same spot angled differently. Any composition related advice or any other advice are welcomed.

I would've liked to see the first one more down and to the right. So you got the entire bus in the lower left corner and none of that red building.
That said, city photos can be quite hard and i think u did pretty well.

if you want a great shot of the empire statebuilding, as counter-intuitive as it might sound you'd have to stand on broadway between 23rd and 22nd street - broadway runs diagonally and you can grab the ESB without anything really blocking it


i love the colors in your stock kit!

I prefer the 1st picture. It look better If you lowering bit of the angle to see the bus & move a bit to the right to avoid any distraction from that red building.

I know the exact spot you are talking about!! I used to work right there. Here is another shot of the Empire State Building shot from my daughter's favorite playground on 35th St.
