In order to take the photo, I stood directly underneath it. It was a slightly overcast day, so there was a nice contrast between the building and the sky. Comments much appreciated!

The building's name is Trump Tower.

Well, I followed some advice and edited the photo using elements, specifically by adjusting the hue and saturation a bit so here's how it looks now:
